Lighthouse Sports

Lighthouse sponsors a competitive athletics program open to all area homeschoolers age 11 -18.  The purpose of our program is provide the opportunity for homeschooled youth to develop physical fitness, discipline, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and Godly character through participation in competitive sports. Our program is open to non-Lighthouse members, but operates under the principles of the Lighthouse Christian Homeschool Association Statement of Faith, and coaches may include Bible study and prayer as part of their practices. 

We currently have teams for middle school, JV, and Varsity girls volleyball in the summer / fall, and both boys and girls middle school, JV, and Varsity basketball in the fall / winter.  Our teams belong to the North Carolina Home Educators Athletic Conference (NCHEAC), and compete against other homeschool teams from across the state, as well as against local private school and charter school teams. The program is funded by player participation fees, but group fundraising projects as well as business sponsors can help to offset these costs.
