Spelling Bee This event will take place on Friday, May 7th from 10am-11:30am. This is for kids in grades 1st thru 8th. We currently are securing a location for this event and will keep everyone informed. It will be in the Wake Forest/Youngsville area. Here's how it works. Sign up to participate below, view/print your spelling lists for your grades, read the rules, and show up on Friday, May 8th to participate in the Spelling Bee. Your child will learn a few words, be able to add "Spelling Bee" to their list of accomplishments, and will receive a certificate and goodie bag for giving it a try. We'll have a little something extra for the winners. There will be 2 bees: a written bee which will take words from throughout the spelling list and an oral bee (traditional one) where you try spelling words at the beginning of the list and if you get them correct, the words get harder (higher numbers). So, if you don't have much time to learn the words, just focus on the top 50 to 100 words. Either way, it is a low-key event and everyone will be praised for trying!
